Why Choose Trillium Montessori?
Do you like to feel that you're part of a close community? We do. We love it, and so do our families. We are a small school where your child can feel like he or she belongs, and where you can feel like you belong. You will know every parent and every child at our school... and chances are, you will like them too! We think this is a great way for your child to begin his or her first school experience.
Do you know that over 25,000 readers get our education email newsletter every week?
We may be a small one-classroom school, but our curriculum and resources are an inspiration the world over. Trillium curriculum support resources can be found in hundreds of classrooms around the world. From classroom activity ideas, to downloadable curriculum materials, to expert speakers, we serve the global Montessori community in many ways. Find out more on our main website.
Do you know why we're as small as we are? This is a booming part of town and we have a waiting list... but we're very picky about finding the right teachers! All of our teachers have at least a 4 year college degree and many years of experience working with children. Lead teachers also hold credentials from the American Montessori Society. Our teachers are not just well trained, they are peaceful, loving human beings with a zest for life. They are positive, competent, talented professionals. We are the luckiest team in the Triangle!
Have you heard of all those cutting edge buzzwords in education, like STEM/STEAM, differentiation, child-centered curriculum, self-directed learning, growth mindset, and...? The list is long and Montessori has been doing it all from the very beginning. We love Montessori and sing its praises from the rooftops. Montessori is no ordinary curriculum. It is a holistic approach to education that takes the whole child's being into account. We're not just here to teach reading and writing, we're here to ensure that your child's innate potential is unleashed. Put this curriculum in the hands of our amazing teachers, and you have the recipe for the perfect educational foundation for your child.
Are you breathing a sigh of relief? Your preschooler does not have to be at school all day! A leisurely lunch, a comfortable nap in his own bed, unstructured playtime outside... all of these are good ways for your child to spend the afternoon. And we do not think you should have to pay tuition for something you can provide so easily yourself.
